Why use a USDOT-registered mover for PCS
Any move that crosses a state line legally requires USDOT and MC numbers. Many movers advertising military rates don’t have them — and if your DITY paperwork requires interstate authority on the bill of lading, you can’t get reimbursed.
We’re registered. Verify any mover (including us) at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. That’s the federal database.
FAQ
Do you handle DITY (PPM) moves?
Yes. DITY (personally procured moves, now called PPM) requires specific weight tickets and inventory documentation for reimbursement. We weigh the truck before and after load, hand you the certified tickets, and provide a written inventory for your TMO submission.
Which bases do you serve?
Naval Base San Diego, NAS North Island, MCRD San Diego, Naval Base Coronado, and Camp Pendleton. Base access is handled through your sponsor or the gate's commercial-mover protocol — bring your orders and we'll coordinate.
How does pricing work for a military move?
Local moves (within SD county or to Camp Pendleton) bill hourly at $120–$240. Long-distance PCS moves are binding estimates ($2,500–$9,500 typical from San Diego to most destinations). You get the price up front and that's the price on delivery — no day-of inflation.
Will my move qualify for full reimbursement?
We can't promise reimbursement (that's between you and TMO), but we provide all the documentation TMO requires: weight tickets, certified inventory, GBL or PPM paperwork as applicable. Many service members reimburse 95%+ of the cost.
Are you USDOT and MC registered?
Yes — required for any interstate move including base-to-base. You can verify at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov. Many movers offer 'military rates' without proper interstate authority — verify before booking with anyone.
